I hold a certificate in Personal Training from The American Council on Exercise, this is an international accreditation and respected worldwide. This gave me the proper education to make appropriate modifications for injuries, give you general information on health as it relates to exercise and advise you on general nutritional guidelines. I am required to received continuing education credits in order to maintain my certification. {held continuously since 2018}
Barre Intensity Certified Instructor
I am independently certified through Barre Intensity, which is an international barre training company that provides a thorough education on form and class structure. The main focus of the Barre Intensity technique is combining high energy choreography so your heart rate is up, while providing intense small movements, which push your muscles to their limits. I attend barre focused continuing education courses each year to keep my skills fresh. {certification received in 2018}
American Red Cross CPR & AED
Holding a current CPR and AED certification is a requirement to retain my ACE License. This training ensures a safe environment for my clients; should something occur during one of our physical training sessions, I would be able to provide care prior to emergency services arriving. I am required to routinely get re-certified by written test and a hands on demonstration, through the Red Cross. {held continuously since 2018}
IBBFA Working With Special Populations
As I continue to serve my clients in the most thorough way, I enrolled in a course taught by the first barre instructor certification company. In this seminar, I learned how to tailor workouts for “special populations”. This includes people in the following categories: prenatal and postpartum, elderly, injured, physically challenged and youth clients.
